Beeler was a radio operator with the 10th Air Force, 7th Bombardment Group, 492nd Bombardment Squadron. His plane, B-24J #42-73246, nicknamed 'Snafu' crashed on takeoff from Madhaiganj air base in India. All aboard were killed.
