Capt. Ancil A. Jones, ASN O-855657 From daughter, Joetta Scarborough: My Dad graduated from Lowry Field in Denver on October 20, 1942 and was married to my Mom on the same day. He was sent overseas in December, 1942. He went to Egypt first on his way to India. He came back through Australia and San Francisco in Feb./March 1945. He was stationed in Orlando, was discharged, went to college on the G.I. Bill, and was recalled during the Korean Conflict, but did not see combat. He became an engineer in the Air Force and built air bases in the U.S. and also European NATO bases." (Click on images to enlarge.)
