Biography (provided by family):

Prior to graduating high school, Sgt. McGuffin joined the Army Air Corps and fought in the China-Burma-Inda campaign as a B-24 ball turret gunner. He rose to the rank of Master Sergeant. Shortly after returning from World War II, his lifelong career in trucking began. As a young man, he played semi-pro football for the Hagerstown Marketeers. He retired in 1987. He served as Commander of the Keystone Basha of the CBI. Sgt. McGuffin was an avid golfer, sports fan, artist and volunteer. He enjoyed giving his time to Little League, Salvation Army and the American Red Cross. His generosity, kindness and humor will be fondly remembered.
