Loran H. Moeller

SHIPSHEWANA, Ind. - Loran H. Moeller, 81, died Friday at 1:50 p.m. at Life Care Center of LaGrange.

He was born Sept. 16, 1922, in Wheaton, Minn., to Horace and Alice (Jackson) Moeller. He married Elaine A. Lunsford Jan. 20, 1944, in Casper, Wyo.

He moved to the LaGrange County area in 1950 and was a sales agent for Investors Diversified Services in South Bend. He was a member of Scott United Methodist Church and was a pilot in the Army Air Corps during World War II.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Carol (Dennis) Weirich, Shipshewana; two sons, Martin A. (Beth) Moeller, Shipshewana, and Stanley D. (Tammy) Moeller, York, Maine; a brother, Alan E. Moeller, Piedmont, S.D.; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Loran H. Moeller II, who died May 1998.

Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Scott United Methodist Church, Shipshewana. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. at the church, with the Rev. Nancy Richmond officiating.

Burial will be at Scott Cemetery.
